Tony Dunn is a specialist in business culture and workplace efficiency.

As an experienced facilitator and business mentor, Tony specialises in Lean training and implementation, and Lean Leadership. He is also accredited to deliver the 5 Behaviours of a Cohesive Team (Lencioni) assessment-based learning experience and is an Everything DiSC Facilitator.

He believes that, to achieve a successful workplace culture, employees need to be engaged and accountable.

That’s one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex. You have to work hard to get your thinking Lean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.
— Steve Jobs

Simplicity Works is a coaching business that helps you and your team do more effective work, in a simple and focused way.

Tony’s 38-year career has evolved from an electrical trade, working in the construction, maintenance and mining industries, to his current business, Simplicity Works.

Whilst employed by Rio Tinto from 1992-2002, Tony was promoted to a leadership role and was exposed to Lean for the first time. He also undertook Coaching and Facilitation training.

In 2002 Tony left the mining industry and opened his own retail business in Dubbo, NSW - Explore Outdoors.

He utilised Lean principles to engage his employees and create efficient practices within the business. This enabled him to average 20% growth per year, employing 20 staff, until national retailer BCF acquired the business in late 2009.

Continuing to apply Lean practices, in 2012, Tony purchased a bicycle store in Dubbo and opened a second store in Bathurst shortly thereafter. In 2015, the businesses were awarded Store of the Year by Trek Australia.

Tony’s passion is business culture and leadership. He launched Simplicity Works in 2014, to help large and small businesses grow, leveraging Lean principles and his years of experience.
